Hikes in Lech Zürs range from gentle valley strolls to genuinely serious alpine routes. Families will love the tranquil Butzensee lake and gentler trails around Zürsersee via the Seekopfbahn cable car, as well as the Green Ring trail - blending hiking with local artwork and folklore.
Meanwhile, for big hikers, the legendary Arlberg Trail connects Lech, Zürs, Stuben, St. Christoph, and St. Anton across three demanding stages, with cable car support easing some of the climbing if needed.

Getting to and around town:
Your airport transfer is included with your trip. Once there, you'll find Lech-Zürs to be an elegant, immaculately kept mountain village with excellent restaurants and a relaxed summer pace.
Getting to your walks and hikes:
The Rüfikopf cable car departs from the centre of Lech, just a five-minute walk from the main Rüfiplatz bus stop, putting you straight into the high mountains within minutes of leaving your hotel.
The Seekopfbahn and Bergbahn Oberlech cable cars open up distinct trail networks above Lech and Zürs, while regional buses connect you to Stuben, St. Christoph, St. Anton, and the wider Arlberg.

Can I still access Lech-Zürs' lift and gondolas in the summer?
Yes, you can. Lech-Zürs' lifts and gondolas still operate throughout the summer months, provided conditions are safe and favourable, and many of the mountain huts are still operational, so you can grab a bite to eat while savouring those epic mountain views.
When do Lech-Zürs' lifts and gondolas run during summer?

Gampenbahn

A quick "Mountain Rule of Thumb": Last ascent is usually 15–30 minutes before the official closing time, and Last descent is the very last cabin down. If you miss it, it’s a long walk back!
Can I hire a mountain guide on my Lech-Zürs walking holiday?
Yes, you can. Though these are not currently bookable via the Heidi website, you can enquire and book with the local tourist office, or visit their website. We recommend enquiring early to ensure availability.
